Come join me for dinner aboard the elegant Sunborn London Yacht Hotel.
Located just a short walk from Canning Town Station, this unique floating hotel overlooks the beautiful Royal Victoria Dock in the heart of London’s Docklands.
Join us for a stylish evening of dining with a three-course meal aboard this luxury yacht. Who knows, we might even get lucky and have a chance to take a look at some of the accommodation too.
The intimate cedar and brass surroundings, combined with elegant lighting, create the perfect backdrop for sampling an international gourmet menu. The adjoining Sundown Lounge Bar is also a great spot for pre-dinner drinks before we sit down to dine.
At Sunborn London they value tradition and the importance of local heritage. Their restaurant, Lands End Restaurant, is named after “Lands End”, the name given to the Victoria Docks area by the Victorian engineer George Parker Bidder in the 1840s.
It was during the mid-1800s that the docks came to life. In 1847, George Bidder completed his railway from Stratford to North Woolwich. The railway passed through what was then undeveloped marshland and was nicknamed “Bidder’s Folly”. However, Bidder saw the area’s potential and soon purchased large areas of marshland between Bow Creek and Galleons Reach. He named the area “Lands End”, and his investment later proved successful as the land was sold for the docks and surrounding industrial development.

Please note that ÂŁ49 will be deducted from your final bill on the day. The remaining balance of your bill should be paid directly to the restaurant.
