B/H Coach Trip to Dorset – Visit Bournemouth, Lulworth Cove & Durdle Door
Overview
Make new friends with people who love coach trips and getting out of London. Socialise, connect, enjoy great conversations and have fun while exploring the beautiful south coast.
It’s a bank holiday weekend, so let’s travel by luxury coach to the popular seaside town of Bournemouth, a coastal resort located in Dorset in the south of England.
Bournemouth is well known for its beautiful golden sandy beaches, making it perfect for relaxing days by the sea and scenic coastal walks all year round. Its award-winning beaches and mild climate attract visitors from far and wide. In fact, Bournemouth enjoys up to 25% more sunshine than the UK average, making it one of the sunniest spots in the country.
The lively town centre is full of things to see and do, with award-winning restaurants, entertainment venues and great shopping. From the popular seafront and pier approach, the town stretches back through stunning riverside gardens and is lined with cafés, restaurants, bars and shops. Bournemouth Square often hosts exciting events, festivals and themed celebrations throughout the year.
Later in the day we will visit the beautiful Lulworth Cove, part of the famous Jurassic Coast. Managed by the Lulworth Estate, this area is rich in wildlife and offers some of the most scenic coastal views in England.
From the visitor centre at Lulworth Cove you can walk to the iconic Durdle Door, a natural limestone arch and one of the most photographed landmarks on the Jurassic Coast. The walk is about 1.3 miles and takes approximately 35 minutes.
Durdle Door is a special place for any visit to this region. From walking and photography to rock-pooling and simply enjoying the breathtaking views, there is something for everyone.
Please Note
-
Wear sensible shoes as some of the ground can be uneven.
-
The weather on the coast can be unpredictable. Even on a sunny day, sea mist can roll in and temperatures can drop suddenly.
-
Durdle Door is about half a mile from the road and the paths are quite hilly, although most people are up to the challenge. If you prefer, you can stay around Lulworth Cove where there are plenty of places to explore and relax.
