Glastonbury
Glastonbury is a historic town famous for myths, legends, and the world-renowned Glastonbury Festival. It is steeped in mystery and strongly linked to King Arthur — with legends claiming that Glastonbury Abbey is his final resting place and an ancient pilgrimage destination.
This mix of fact, folklore, and spirituality is a huge part of its charm.
Optional: Abbey entry is approximately £14 and can be purchased directly via their official website.
What To See
Glastonbury Tor – A 20–30 minute walk up with incredible views over the Somerset Levels (allow around 45 minutes total).
Glastonbury Abbey – Legendary burial site of King Arthur, peaceful ruins and gardens (optional paid entry).
Glastonbury High Street – Independent shops, crystal and spiritual stores, cafés, and many vegetarian and vegan-friendly lunch spots.
Cheddar Gorge
Cheddar Gorge is a dramatic natural landmark famous for its towering limestone cliffs, prehistoric caves, and as the birthplace of Cheddar cheese. It is England’s largest gorge, reaching depths of up to 137 metres.
Formed during the last Ice Age and part of a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), it offers big views without requiring long hikes — perfect for group visits.

Alternative Version (Less Walking)
Skip climbing the Tor.
Spend more time in Glastonbury town and Abbey.
Shorter gorge walk with more focus on the village.
Please note: I am not a tour guide. I organise these trips to keep costs low by finding the best coach prices so we can enjoy a great day out of London together.
Social Media & Photos
We love capturing the day. Group photos may be shared on Meetup and Instagram. If you prefer not to be photographed, simply step aside during group shots.
