Day Trip to The Cotswolds Burford, Bourton-On-The-Water & Stow-on-the-Wold
Overview
A great opportunity to visit three historic villages in the beautiful Cotswolds — the perfect day trip out of London to connect, explore, and meet new people.
Escape the hustle and bustle of London life and join Get A Social Life on a luxury coach trip as we explore charming countryside scenery, travel along narrow country lanes, and visit three historic towns and villages.
The Cotswolds is a collection of villages, towns, and cities spread across the counties of Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, Somerset, Worcestershire, Warwickshire, and Oxfordshire — covering around 787 square miles of traditional English countryside beauty.
99% of our members travel alone, so don’t worry — you won’t be the only one coming solo. Men are always welcome too. Join others who want a social life and are fed up relying on friends to visit that special place.
Burford
Often known as the gateway to the Cotswolds, Burford is usually one of the first stops for travellers exploring this area of outstanding natural beauty. The town is home to fantastic shops, restaurants, and tourist attractions, and is considered one of England’s most unchanged medieval towns. Many of the buildings here are over 500 years old.

Bourton-on-the-Water
A picturesque village affectionately known as the “Venice of the Cotswolds,” this is one of the region’s most popular destinations. Take time to stroll along the river and cross its charming small bridges.
You’re welcome to join me in visiting the famous The Model Village — a miniature replica of the village built from local Cotswold stone. It recreates Bourton-on-the-Water as it appeared in the 1930s and is the only Grade II listed model village in the UK.

Stow-on-the-Wold
Our final stop is a charming town filled with historic inns and antique shops surrounding an ancient market square. Stow has been a centre of trade in the Cotswolds for centuries and was also the location of the last battle of the English Civil War in 1646.
It is one of the most visited Cotswold towns and is home to a wonderful selection of shops, hotels, and eateries.

Please Note
Most shops are cashless, but make sure you have 20p if you need to use public toilets.
It can be extremely hot during the summer months, so consider bringing sunscreen, sunglasses, a summer hat, or a sun umbrella. Many buildings in the Cotswolds are historic, so you may not find air conditioning or fans.
