Cardiff City

Our first stop is Cardiff, Wales’ capital, a great mix of history, culture, and modern city life. At the heart of the city sits Cardiff Castle, with over 2,000 years of history, right next to green spaces like Bute Park. The city centre is compact and lively, making it easy to explore on foot, grab a coffee, do a bit of shopping, and soak up Welsh culture without feeling rushed.

Cardiff Bay

Next stop, Cardiff Bay, known for its beautiful waterfront. The area is just outside the city centre, famous for its relaxed atmosphere and scenic views. It’s home to Mermaid Quay, where you’ll find plenty of restaurants, cafés, and bars overlooking the water. With open walkways, modern architecture, and places like the Wales Millennium Centre, it’s the perfect spot to slow down, enjoy lunch, and take some great photos.

Brecon Beacons National Park

Save the best for last — our final stop is The Brecon Beacons, one of Wales’ most stunning natural landscapes. Expect rolling hills, wide valleys, and dramatic mountain views — a complete contrast to city life. It’s ideal for gentle walks, fresh air, and peaceful moments, even if you’re not a hiker. Many people say it’s the highlight of the day, a chance to breathe, reset, and truly appreciate Wales’ natural beauty.

Find us at our usual meeting spot: Tothill St SW1H 9NQ, 2 minutes from St James Park tube station. Close to Costa Coffee and Pret Manger. Travel time approx 3 hours.

07:15 – Arrive for check-in
07:30 – Coach departs promptly
11:00 – 12:30 – Cardiff City Centre (Cardiff Castle, Bute Park walk optional, coffee & shopping)
12:45 – Depart for Cardiff Bay
13:00 – 14:45 – Cardiff Bay (Lunch at Mermaid Quay, waterfront strolls, Wales Millennium Centre, photos)
15:00 – Depart for Brecon Beacons
16:15 – 18:15 – Brecon Beacons National Park (Scenic viewpoints, gentle walks optional, relax & photos)
18:30 – Return journey to London (comfort stop included if necessary)
21:30 – 22:00 – Arrive back in London (traffic dependent)
